Dermatologic Services

Dr. Darabi is one of only few dermatologists in the nation who is triple board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology in Dermatology, Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery and Dermatopathology.

Medical Dermatology

Dr. Darabi and Kendyl Zeidler, NP-C, diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the skin, nails and hair. We see patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly.

Our practice focuses on the prevention, early detection and treatment of skin cancer. As a small practice we are able to diagnose and provide treatment for most dermatologic conditions. From time to time, it is necessary to refer some patients with complex skin conditions or diagnostic challenges to centers in the metro for further diagnostic work-up and complex therapeutic interventions.

Common skin conditions seen by us include:

  • evaluation of moles and skin growths
  • biopsies of skin lesions
  • removal of skin lesions
  • treatment of skin cancer
  • acne
  • warts
  • rashes

Mohs Micrographic Surgery

Mohs surgery is a type of outpatient surgery performed with local anesthetic to remove the most common types of skin cancers from highly sensitive areas of the skin, such as the face and neck. The Mohs surgeon is also the pathologist who interprets the removed material microscopically and determines whether the skin cancer has been completely removed.

As a skilled skin surgeon with years of Mohs surgery experience and board-certifications in Mohs surgery and Dermatopathology (Skin Pathology), Dr. Darabi is able to provide high quality Mohs surgery to most of his patients.

Dermatopathology

Dermatopathology (Skin Pathology) is the medical specialty of microscopic interpretation of skin biopsies to diagnose a rash or a skin growth. Dr. Darabi is a board-certified dermatopathologist (skin pathologist) and has expert knowledge of the microscopic basis of skin diseases. This expertise allows him to generate the most accurate diagnosis by connecting the appearance of a skin disease with microscopic findings from skin biopsies.
